The Tanzania Table Tennis Association (TTTA) successfully held its general elections on 07/01/2023 in Dar Es Salaam, at the Kisutu Primary School. The new elected leaders who took office from the same date are:

1. Chairperson - Baruani Mshale
2. Secretary General - Agripina Habicht
3. Treasurer- Michael Misabo
4. Chairperson Technical Committee - Yahya Mungilwa
5. Chairperson Persons with disabilities Committee - Noorlain Shariff
6. Chairperson Finance, Planning and Development Committee - Anthony Mtafurwa.

The new leaders promised to start off by developing a strategic/development plan to highlight key interventions for moving forward the sport.

Let me take this opportunity to call upon all table tennis enthusiasts within the country and beyond to play part in developing table tennis in Tanzania.

TTTA Executive Committee strategies on the sport's development.

After being elected to New positions in January 2023, the TTTA Executive Committee members took to the table to strategize on key developmental activities that will activate the sport across the country.
These are expected to be included in a costed four year plan however the leadership has revealed the following top strategies to be included in the plan:

• Development of concrete table tennis tables to popularize the sport and build skills for young players
• Establishment of TTTA region level associations and region level teams and clubs.
• Undertake player camps
• Undertake coaching coursesSeek permanent space for the National Association and team.
